Woodentooth are a four-piece rock band from Inverness, Scotland, specialising in driven, melodic rock with a grungey tint. The band first formed in September 2012 and with the current lineup settled a year later, launched their debut EP “Winter” at XPONorth in June 2015.

Recorded with engineer/producer Graeme Young at Chamber Studio (Mogwai, Idlewild, Frank Black), the 5 track EP showcases the Woodentooth sound: big choruses, dynamic guitars and a hard-driving rhythm section. Developing a reputation for solid live performances, Woodentooth features familiar faces from the Inverness music scene in Lush Roller Derek Urquhart and Zombie Militia bassist Iain Howie and is forged in longstanding friendships.

In 2016, the ‘Tooth further cemented their reputation when they were asked to open the 2016 Belladrum Festival main stage, playing old favourites and previewing material from their next record, currently in preparation.

“Tuneful and driven rock. Woodentooth were on the money and tight as hell for a new outfit. It’s accessible and it’s damned good.” InvernessGigs.co.uk
